Adrian S Fitts

Adrian S. Fitts, 79, of Rouses Point, NY passed away April 11, 2021 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Proctor, VT on July 23, 1941 to the late George and Helen(Hard) Fitts and moved to Rouses Point, NY later that year.

Adrian graduated from Champlain High School in 1961, and served in the first Infantry Division as an MP in-country during the Vietnam War from 1964-1966. After service to his country, Adrian was employed by the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier in Rouses Point for over 35 years; a job he thoroughly enjoyed in a village that was always close to his heart. Adrian was a life member of the American Legion Post 912 and VFW. Anyone that knew Adrian knew that he was also an avid lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox.
Adrian always had a big inviting smile on his face.

Adrian leaves behind his dedicated and devoted wife of 53 years, Gloria J. (Clookey) Fitts. He is survived by his loving sister, Molly (Fitts) Tayler. He was a proud father to four children: daughter Kelly Fitts and her significant other Daniel Liegel; son David Fitts, son Kevin Fitts and his wife Jessica, and daughter Kristina Mangan and her husband Dave. Adrian is also survived by his treasured grandchildren: Aidan, Keira and Owen Mangan, Lily Liegel, Morgan Fitts, and Wyatt and Harper Fitts.

Adrian was predeceased by his parents, his brother George(Buzzy)Fitts and sister Leslie Fitts.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside military service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of his family.

Donations can be made to the Rouses Point Rescue Squad in honor of Adrian.
