Agnes M. Barber

Agnes M. Barber, 75, of True Brook Road, Saranac, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on August 25, 1949 , the daughter of Wilfred and Eva (Rascoe) LaFountain. Agnes was a big animal lover, growing up riding horses and caring for her two dogs Banjo and Gizmo. She enjoyed music, playing her guitar, singing and was known as the Kitty Wells of Standish. Agnes loved being in the country and visiting with friends and family. Agnes was predeceased by her parents, her husband Raymond, two brothers; Arthur and Clifford LaFountain and a granddaughter Kirsten Nolan. She is survived by her children; Karen (Daniel) Nolan, Brad (Renee) Barber and Tim Barber and his companion Gretchen Gilbert, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews also survive her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Assumption of Mary Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Donations in Agnes's memory may be made to the Elmore SPCA.
