Agnes M Macey

Plattsburgh Mrs. Agnes M. Macey, 93, of Saranac, passed away into the hands of the Lord at her daughters home on Elizabeth Street in Plattsburgh, on Thursday, July 28, 2011. She was born on April 7, 1918 in Schuyler Falls, the daughter of the late Norman and Alma (Jabot) Dashnaw. Agnes was employed at Georgia Pacific for over 32 years until her retirement. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 125 Ladies Auxillary , Our Lady of Victory Church and the Church of the Assumption in Redford. She enjoyed country music, attending concerts, shopping, eating out, and family gatherings. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Veleda Praeger of Chesapeake, Va., Ruth Macey of Plattsburgh, Millie Stoughton of Saranac, Allen and Claire Macey of Morrisonville, Eva and Wayne Hodge of Peebles, Ohio, Yvonne and Carl Price of Columbus, Ohio, Bob Macey of Plattsburgh, Marvin and Pam Macey of Plattsburgh, Dale Macey of Plattsburgh, Lee Macey of Saranac, Brian Macey of Saranac, Cheryl Campbell of Ellenburg Depot, two sisters; Marie Graham of Tupper Lake, Betty Wood of Riverview, a brother Larry Dashnaw of Riverview, 34 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 23 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Erwin A. Macey, two daughters Phyllis Kobusinski and Virginia Russell, two sons; Dwayne and Eugene Macey, a sister and seven brothers, 4 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's cemetery. Memorial donations may be offered to American Heart Association, Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country..
