Aline G. Cote, 90, of Plattsburgh, died Monday, January 22, 2024. She was born in Champlain, NY on January 28th, 1933, the daughter of Gabriel and Christine (Bisaillon) Cote. Aline was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and of the Secular Order of St. Frances. She worked in the Plattsburgh City Clerk's Office from 1951-1990 and, was the Plattsburgh City Clerk for approximately 18 of those years. Following her retirement, she worked at Brown Funeral Home for several years as well. Aline was a fiercely independent individual who remained in her own home, which she kept immaculate, right up to her passing. During her time as City Clerk, she was well known for doing "everything by the book" even if it was to the chagrin of others who wanted her to "bend the rules." Aline was a woman of great faith, who possessed an extremely charitable heart. She was a beloved family member and cherished friend to many. She will be so greatly missed by all who had the honor of being part of her life. If there was ever a place reserved in Heaven for someone, it would certainly be her. She is survived by her brother Rev. Normand Cote, as well as several nieces and nephews, and extended family. Aline was predeceased by her parents, her sister Lillian Cote, her brother, Paul Cote, his wife Patricia and their daughter Valerie, as well as her brothers George Cote and his wife Valida, and Lionel "Joe" Cote and his wife Barbara.
