Harkness Mr. Allen R. Drinkwine, 66, of the Clintonville Road in Harkness, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at the CVPH Medical center in Plattsburgh.. He was born in Plattsburgh on September 11, 1942, the son of Leroy and Isabelle (Betters) Drinkwine. He was employed for many years at Hart's Apple Orchard in Keeseville. He was an avid bowler for many years and enjoyed gardening. He is survived his wife, Rosalie (Clark) Drinkwine of Harkness, 2 daughters- Jenny and Russell Heath of Plattsburgh, Sherry Drinkwine and her fiancé Patrick Fisher of Plattsburgh, a sister, Phyllis McCray of Willsboro, a grandson Kayden Fisher of Plattsburgh, and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Skip and Bruce Drinkwine, and a sister Aileen Mitchell passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Harkness United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Harkness Cemetery.
