Alonzo "Al" L. Flemming, 93, of Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility with his loving niece, Nancy Mero by his side.. He was born Tuesday, September 2nd, 1930, the son of Norman Flemming and Mabel Hayes Al served in the Air Force during World War 2 where he was a parachute packer. He was well known for his dry jokes which to him were very funny but wasn't funny to those around him. He loved walking around Plattsburgh with his signature cane in one hand, his camera in the other hand and a headset around his head. He enjoyed bowling and taught children how to hone their skills in Bowling every Saturday. He had built a telescope to show and teach his family about the solar system. Al's main passion was photography as he had taken and saved numerous pictures of flowers and landscapes. He is survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, his sisters, Katherine and her husband John Mero, Ruthann and her husband James Garman; his brothers, Ralph Flemming and Johnny Flemming A graveside service will be held at Mt Carmel on April 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Full Military Honors.
