Alphadge A. Baker, 81, formerly of Pike Street in Plattsburgh passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on Aug. 7, 1937, the son of Leo and Ruth (Gebo) Baker.
Alphadge loved restoring antiques, clocks and electronics. He maintained the family homestead for many years and enjoyed playing the organ in his spare time.
He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Ruth Baker; his brothers, John and his wife Geraldine, Frank and his wife Rita, Arthur, Robert, Joseph, Alva; and his sister, Gertrude Devins..
He is survived by his sisters, Joan Woodring and her husband Harold of Tacoma, Wash., Augustine "Tracey" Giroux of Plattsburgh, Betty Reynolds of Cape Coral, Fl.; his sisters in law; Jean and Rose Baker, and many nieces , nephews, great nieces and great nephews..
Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9:00 to 9:45 am at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
