Peru Amber L. LaVarnway, 59, of Hallock Hill Road, Peru. New York passed away Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on March 25, 1950 the daughter of Ernest and Patricia (Garrow) Rock. Amber enjoyed crafting, crocheting, knitting, quilting, painting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother Patricia Rock. Amber is survived by two daughters; Robin Dragoon and her husband Robert of Plattsburgh, Heather LaVarnway and her companion Angie Durgan of Lake Placid, her father Ernest Rock of Peru, a brother, Robin Rock of Peru, a sister, Rebecca Drollete and her companion Malcolm Bushey of Plattsburgh, two grandchildren; Wyatt and Evan Dragoon of Plattsburgh, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Chapel with the Rev. William G. Reamer, chaplain at CVPH Medical Center officiating.
