Andre R Bouchard

Plattsburgh Mr. Andre R. Bouchard, 87, formerly of Lynn Avenue, Wallace Hill, Plattsburgh, New York and most recently Meadowbrook Health Care Facility passed away, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Rock Island, Quebec, Canada on November 27, 1923 the son of Joseph and Palmira (Brault) Bouchard. Andre was a self employed contractor and was well known for his plastering and masonry skills. In his younger years he played hockey for the 4th Ward Montcalmers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports especially hockey and wrestling. Andre was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Palmira Bouchard, a daughter Claudine, a granddaughter Kathleen O'Shaughnessy, his siblings Jeanne Bouchard, Real Bouchard, Rita Bouchard Harvey and Leo Bouchard. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Jacqueline (Berthiaume) Bouchard of Plattsburgh. They were Married August 22, 1949, his children Peter Bouchard and companion Arlene of Jupiter, Florida, Serge Bouchard and his wife Pat of Plattsburgh, Chantal O'Shaughnessy and her husband Steven of Massena, Claude Bouchard and his wife Ellen of Plattsburgh, Bryant Bouchard and his wife Susan of Plattsburgh, his siblings Pauline, Peggy, Yvonne, Lucille, Marcel, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews Calling hours will be Friday, May 13, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home. Following cremation, entombment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery Columbarium.
