Angelina R Sokoloski-Payant

Angelina R. Sokoloski-Payant, 47, of Calkins Road, Harkness, NY passed away on Monday February 13, 2012 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after a 45 year struggle with Juvenile Diabetes. She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on September 22, 1964 the daughter of Joseph and Laena (Danforth) Sokoloski. Angelina worked as a groomer at Fury Friends in Peru. As a member of the Red Hat Society she was known as Princess Pinky. She was predeceased by her husband John Payant, who passed away September 23, 2010. Angelina is survived by her parents; Joseph and Laena Sokoloski of Peru, NY, a son Trevor Payant, of Harkness, NY, a brother Jim Sokoloski of TX, her mother-in-law Doris Thibault of Beekmantown, NY, three brothers-in-law; Leo Payant of Saratoga, NY, Peter Payant and his wife Sherrill of Plattsburgh, NY and Steve Payant and wife Nettie of Altona, NY, two sisters-in-law; Theresa Payant of Beekmantown, NY and Virginia Payant and her companion Paula Pierce of VT, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Friday February 17, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:45 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy, NY later in the year.
