Anita M Topnick

Plattsburgh Anita M. Topnick, 88, formerly of Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Monday December 26, 2016 at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility with her son Gregory by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on December 11, 1928 the daughter of Joseph and Mary (King) Defayette. Anita retired from the Grand Union where she was deli manager. She worked hard and cared for her parents as they aged. Anita enjoyed traveling, doing her own yard work and took pride in keeping her lawns and property in pristine condition. She was a member of St. Peter's Church. Anita was predeceased by her parents, her daughter-in-law Cynthia Topnick, her brothers; Remie Defayette and his wife Dora, George Defayette, Gilbert Defayette, Roger Defayette and his wife Carol, her sister Catherine Kipp and her husband Ambrose, her sister Regina Rollier and her husband Clifford. She is survived by her only child Gregory J. Topnick of Plattsburgh, a grand daughter Emily Topnick of Rochester, NY, her sisters; Eunice LeClair and her husband Gordon of Plattsburgh, Roseanna Zuck and her husband Robert of Kentucky, her brother Clifford Defayette and his wife Julie of California, her sisters-in-law Jane Defayette of Plattsburgh, Arlene Defayette of Plattsburgh, Evelyn Defayette of West Chazy and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday December 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery.
