Ann Jane Tarasavage

Ann Jane Tarasavage, 84, of South Peru Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Friday April 1, 2022 at her home with her family by her side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on January 2, 1938 the daughter of Frank and Flora (Johnson) Myette.

Ann graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1956. She married Michael Tarasavage on June 30, 1956. Together they operated Myette’s Billiards on Margaret Street after the passing of her father Frank. Ann worked at WIRY Radio in Plattsburgh in advertising for over 40 years, before retiring. Most recently Ann battled lung cancer and Alzheimer’s. She would spend two days a week at Hassett Adult Day Service where she helped fellow seniors.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, her husband Michael, a daughter-in-law; Julie Tarasavage and a son-in-law; James Stebens.

She is survived by five children; Jane Stebens of Riverview, FL, Carla Pavone of Escondido, CA, Michael Tarasavage of Plattsburgh, Toni Ann Toumey and her husband Sam of Albany, GA and Joe Tarasavage and his wife Kathy of Plattsburgh; six grandchildren and their spouses; Tara (Sean) Coleman, Christopher (Yern Yoon) Pavone, Jennifer (Aaron) Sewell, Nikki (Richie) DeTulleo, Dylan (Danielle) Martin and Taylor (Tiffany) Tarasavage, sixteen great grandchildren; Hayley, Ian, Izzy, Brayden, Ethan, Mobius, Kelsey, Brandt, Lucas, Liam, Cameron, River, Jalama, Pearl, Camarosa “Rosy” and Fisher.

Calling hours will be held on Monday April 4, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Reamer officiating. Burial will at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

In lieu of flowers donations in Ann’s memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
