Anna T Ferrante

Anna T. Ferrante, 83, of Lakeshore Drive and Meadowbrook Health Care Facility, Plattsburgh, NY and formerly of Lilac Street, Rotterdam, NY, passed away on Sunday April 5, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Schenectady, NY on February 7, 1926, the daughter of Stanley and Victoria (Olejniczak) Karpinski. Anna was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady, New York. During WWII, she worked for the Department of Navy at General Electric, where security clearance was necessary. After the war she worked at General Electric in the Missile Development Area and later in the television tube division. She enjoyed skating, reading, bowling, crafts, ceramics, crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, flower and vegetable gardening. While living in Rotterdam, she was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church and currently is a member of St. Peter's Church. Anna was predeceased by her parents, her husband Alphonso Ferrante, a son Alan Ferrante, her siblings, Andrew and Florence Karpinski. She is survived by a daughter Alice Scott and her husband A. Paul of Cliff Haven, two sisters; Charlotte Campbell of Schenectady, NY, a brother Stanley Karpinski and his wife Rita of Rotterdam, three grandchildren; Laura Scott, Keith and Amanda Ferrante, several nieces and nephews. Anna's family will receive guests on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 9:30 a. m. to 10:25 at St. Peter's Church, Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cyril Cemetery in Rotterdam, New York.
