Anna M Gaito

Plattsburgh Anna M. "Dolly" Gaito, 90, of Peru St., Plattsburgh, New York passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center with family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on September 23, 1921 the daughter of Aniello and Catherine (Negro) Papa. Dolly graduated from Plattsburgh High School and worked at F. W. Woolworth Department Store. She enjoyed socializing with people at Campus Corner Restaurant and she was a member of St. John's Church. Dolly was predeceased by her parents Aniello and Catherine Papa, her sisters; Grace Soldato, Rosie Bienhold, Lucy Papa, her brothers; Joseph Papa, Angelo Papa and Nicholas Pope. Dolly is survived by a son Joseph Gaito and his companion Elizabeth "Betty" Abbott of Troy, NY; three grandsons, Joseph Gaito, Michael Gaito and Paul Gaito and his companion Joanne "Jo" Smith, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. At Dolly's request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 21, 2012 at noon at St. John's Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
