Anna J Miller

Morrisonville Mrs. Anna J. Miller, 77, of Rabideau Street, Cadyville passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cadyville, New York on March 27, 1938, the daughter of Gilbert and Dorothy (Chamberlain) Rock. Anna was a communicant of St. James Minor Church in Cadyville. Anna married her husband of 47 years, Leo J. Miller, at St. James Minor Church on September 8, 1956. She graduated from Saranac Central School. Anna was employed at Kresge's, Plattsburgh Grocery, and finally retired from K-Mart after working for over 20 years of service. Anna also sold Stanley Home Products and Sarah Coventry Jewelry. Anna volunteered as a religion teacher in the 1970's. She also headed up the Yellow Ribbon Committee during Desert Storm to provide support to our Army Reservists and to assist local family members in need. She enjoyed playing pinochle, crocheting, bowling, crafting, and painting ceramics. She also loved doing and going to garage sales and attending Friday Night Box Lots at Bridge St. Auction. Anna loved spending time with family and friends and would go above and beyond to help those in need. She was the best friend anyone could have asked for. She is survived by a daughter, Debra Howard of Morrisonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Lee and Lynn Miller of Cadyville, a daughter, Janet Arthur and her husband Willis of Plattsburgh; her grandchildren, Jeremy Howard and his wife Ashley, Carlton "CJ" Frenyea of Plattsburgh, and Jesse Frenyea of Plattsburgh; three great-grandchildren, Claytan Frenyea, Owen Howard, and Zoey Blair-Frenyea, her sisters; Joyce Lawson and her husband Larry, of South Carolina, Syliva Rancourt and her husband Larry of Rhode Island, and Linda Flynn of Plattsburgh. She is predeceased by her husband, Leo Miller, her parents Gilbert and Dorothy Rock, and a brother Roland "Joe" Rock. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 9:00am to 10:45 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Cadyville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church in Cadyville. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh, where she will be laid to rest with her loving husband. Donations in Anna's memory can be made to St. James Minor Church Memorial Fund, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Hospice of the North Country.
