Anne Marie Usticke

Anne Marie Usticke (Fresn Andersen) of Plattsburgh, New York passed away December 4, 2020.
She was born July 26, 1940 in Plattsburgh, New York, the daughter of Gilbert and Marion (Strack) Fresn. After graduating from St. John’s Academy, Anne Marie went on the receive her undergraduate degree from Plattsburgh State University and her Masters’ degree from New York University.
Anne Marie was employed by USAID to teach in Uganda, Africa in the late 1960s where she met her husband, Jorgen Andersen. Upon her return to the United States, Anne Marie went on to work as guidance counselor in the Catskills.
Surviving Anne Marie are her daughter, Christina Andersen and son in law, Chip Grant of Houston, Texas. She also leaves behind three siblings; Thomas (Kathleen) Fresn of Plattsburgh, New York; Daul (Armando) Valenzuela of Scottsdale, Arizona; Luther “Bert” Fresn of Saranac, New York. Anne Marie is also survived by her long-time companion, John O’Connor and several nieces and nephews.
Anne Marie was predeceased by her parents and husbands, Jorgen Andersen and Gordan Usticke.
A Celebration of Life will be held in July, 2021 at the annual Family Reunion.
