Arthur N Caron

January 4, 1942 — January 16, 2023

Arthur N. Caron, 81, of AuSable Street, Keeseville, NY passed away, Monday January 16, 2023 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh, on January 4, 1942, the son of Mose Caron and Katherine (Russell) Caron.

Art was the son of a carpenter. Much of his youth was spent working with his father where he would develop a solid work ethic and skills he would use throughout his life. Art was a three sport athlete at Our Lady of Victory during his high school years. After high school, Art became a carpenter and then enlisted in the US NAVY. He served six years in the US Navy, including three tours in Vietnam. During that time, he met the love of his life Arlene and shared 49 loving years together! With the electronics skills gained in the NAVY, Art went on to be a pioneer in the early years of cable TV in this region! He was an avid stamp and coin collector and loved sharing this passion with others. His love for history and sports was contagious and he shared his knowledge often at family gatherings. Especially if it involved the Green Bay Packers. He was also a lifelong hunter and fisherman and was happiest when enjoying time in the Adirondacks with his brothers and father.

He is survived by one son James Caron and partner, Susan Castro, of Peru, one daughter Julie Marant and her husband Paul of Keeseville, two grandchildren Kaitlyn Caron and Chase Caron, as well Ryan Castro all of Peru. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Caron, and his wife, Carol T., his sister Nina Williams, sister Margaret Stewart, husband Chris, and sister-in-law, Carol (wife of Russell). Arthur was predeceased by his wife Arlene, his parents Mose and Katherine (Russell) Caron and his brother, Russell Caron.
