West Chazy Mrs. Audrey M. Bulriss, 89, of Route 22, West Chazy passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY with her loving family by her side. She was born December 13, 1924 in West Chazy, NY the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Lucia) LaPier. She and her husband Willard owned and operated a dairy farm their entire lives. Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed cooking special dishes for the family. Audrey was predeceased by her parents Walter and Margaret LaPier, her husband of sixty five years, Willard Bulriss, her brothers; Arthur, Walter, Bernard, Francis, Orville, Theodore, Gerald, Raymond and Newell, her sisters Gertrude Fifield, Eva Sheridan and Margaret Hebert. Audrey is survived by three children and their spouses, Judy E. Averill and her husband John of West Chazy, Arlene S. "Sandy" Defayette and her husband James L. of West Chazy and Willard R. Bulriss and his wife Sherry of West Chazy; seven grandchildren, Jill and Steven Rasco, Amy and Gary LaValley, John M. and Tracie Averill, Sara and Dale Gadway, Nicole Bulriss, Mindy Bulriss and Samantha Bulriss; eleven great-grandchildren, Eric and Amanda Rasco, Ryan and Adam LaValley, Brooke Averill, Evan and Cody Gadway, Ty Tedford Bulriss, Payton and Maddison Relation, and Reese Duprey; two step grandchildren, Amanda Jackson and Tara Jackson; a step great grandson Jameson Bryant, a sister-in-law Vergulis LaPier of Altona, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Interment will be at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy. Donations in Audrey's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Church, have Masses said in her memory or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
