Audrey L Monette

Mrs. Audrey L. Monette, 72, of Malone, NY passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY with her family by her side. She was born on June 26, 1942 in Malone, NY. The daughter of Stanley and Beulah (Newton) Sorell. She was united in marriage to Kenneth O. Monette on October 22, 1960. She was an avid member of Notre Dame Church, Notre Dame Altar Rosary Society, Notre Dame Church Choir and volunteer with WIC. Audrey's greatest passion were her two grandchildren Monique and Heather. Audrey was well known for her cake designs, passion for cooking and her great talent of crafts. Her kitchen door was always open to everyone. She was predeceased by her parents, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Thomas and Patricia Monette. Audrey is survived by her husband, Kenneth Monette; two children, Donna Morris and her husband Jeffrey of Malone, NY and Craig Monette and his wife Kathleen of Malone, NY; two granddaughters Monique and Heather Morris of Cadyville, NY; one sister, Karen Anthony and her husband Michael of Indianapolis, IN; one niece Kari McClimon and her husband Justin of Indianapolis, IN and one great-niece. She is also survived by four brothers-in-law and their spouses; Lyle Monette and his wife Audrey of Palmer, MA, Donald Monette and his wife Caroline of Bombay, NY, James Monette and his wife Linda of Leominster, MA, Bruce Monette of Hooksett, NH; one sister-in-law and her spouse, Sandra Vaness and her husband Orin of Malone, NY and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Calling hours will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the St. Mary Murphy Wilcox Funeral Home in Malone, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame Church in Malone, NY. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Donations in Audrey's memory can be made to Fitzpatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh, NY or the Hastings Hemodialysis Center in Malone, NY.
