Barbara J. Blake

Barbara J. Blake, 68, of Plattsburgh, died Monday, October 2, 2023 at her home.  She was born Saturday, April 23, 1955 , the daughter of Lee and Barbara (Waters) Smith.

She enjoyed creating crafts, watching the birds and gossiping, playing on her computer, collecting peacocks and plants.  She was a family-first person who's greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Hafensteiner, her children; Barbara A. Blake, Wayne Blake Jr., her grandchildren; Jenny, Shiann, Magan, Jonathan, Wayne, and Lucus, her great-grandchildren; Parker, Rielly, James, and Austin, her brother, Lee Smith Jr., her goddaughter, Nina Strope.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Wayne Blake Sr., her daughter Becky Blake, and her brother Edward Smith,

There will be no public calling hours.  A celebration of life will be celebrated Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00pm at the family home, 3 Birch St., Plattsburgh NY.
