Barbara D Fitzwilliam

Barbara D. Fitzwilliam, 66, of Route 3 in Cadyville, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. She was born in Cooperstown, N.Y. on June 9, 1943, the daughter of Wilmer and Mary (Frayer) Fitzwilliam. Barbara graduated from the CVPH School of Nursing and retired from CVPH Medical Center as a patient care coordinator. She attended the Saranac United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sweet Adelines where she served as music director for 3 years. She also enjoyed puzzles and traveling. She is survived by a son and daughter in law; James and Julie Fitzwilliam of Straatsburg, N.Y.; a sister and brother in law, Allison and Paul Bode of Schenectady; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Scott and Dianna Rose Fitzwilliam. Her parents Wilmer and Mary Fitzwilliam passed away earlier. In accordance with Barbara'a wishes, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:30 am from the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plattsburgh. Interment will be in the Richmondville Rural Cemetery in Richmondville, N.Y. at a later date. Memorial donations may be offered to Champlain Valley Voices, P.O. Box 2021, Plattsburgh, N.Y. 12901.
