Barbara Jeanne Elizabeth Pooler

Barbara Jeanne Elizabeth Pooler of Morrisonville passed away on Sunday January 17, 2021, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born in Plattsburgh on August 17, 1951 the daughter of Norman (Tony) and Olive (Hart) Curran.
Barb worked at Georgia Pacific for over thirty years as a Purchasing Buyer; and then worked at Nova Bus as a Logistical Planner for nine years retiring in December, 2017.
She loved life and loved being with her family and friends. Barb loved her flowers and vegetable beds and sharing her bounty. She enjoyed traveling to warmer locales, being active outside and playing golf. She especially loved her lunches and dinners with her girls, and cherished those moments.
Barb is survived by her husband of 42 years Robert; a son Robert Michael (Amanda); daughter Kathleen (Kevin )Rowland, her grandson Brady Pooler; her grand puppies Nugget, Sammy, Oscar and grand kitty Pumpkin; a brother-in-law Gary and wife Mary Pooler; a sister-in-law and husband Cheryl and Jorge Alfonso and a nephew Steven (Shawn) Levine Manimtim. She leaves her beloved Godsons Jon Ubl and Ryan Bennett. She also leaves behind many dear friends that she considered her family. She loved all ‘her girls’, as they were affectionately known. They were her sisters in the truest sense of the term.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sister Mary Curran and her niece, Sara Pooler. She loved life and loved being with her family and friends.
Due to COVID-19, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
A public celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of The North Country or Elmore SPCA.
