Plattsburgh Mrs. Belma V. Beebie, 91, formerly of Elm Street, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Altona on January 12, 1917, daughter of the late Tousant and Mary (Smart) LaBarge. Belma was a member of St. Peter's Parish in Plattsburgh where she belonged to St. Peter's Altar Rosary Society. She also belonged to Catholic Daughters of America, Court Mary Immaculate #479, the Regina Maria Retreat League and The Link of the Living Rosary. Belma owned and operated Bell's Beauty Shop in Plattsburgh and was a member of American Association of Retired Persons. She was an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed playing cards. Belma is survived by two children, Wayne Beebie and his wife, Carol of Plattsburgh, Mary Ann DeAngelo of Plattsburgh, five grandchildren, Scott Beebie and his wife, Lisa of Plattsburgh, Cynthia Rotz and her husband, Tracy of Plattsburgh, Jason Beebie and his wife, Stacey of Plattsburgh, John DeAngelo and his wife, Paula of Plattsburgh, Christopher DeAngelo and his significant other, Shawna Bussey of Dannemora, ten great grandchildren, Allison Beebie, Ryan Beebie, Justine Rotz, Brett Rotz, Lucas Rotz, Logan Beebie, Domenic DeAngelo, Bryce DeAngelo, Brielle DeAngelo, Taylor Manor, two sisters in law, Shirley (Kenneth) LaBarge of Morrisonville, Shirley (Leeward) LaBarge of Morrisonville, two brothers in law. Conroy Beebie of Gloversville, Eugene Beebie and his wife Theresa of Plattsburgh and several nieces and nephews. Belma was pre-deceased by her husband, Kenneth Beebie on May 8, 1991 and her twelve brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be Friday, April 25, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 from Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. Members of St. Peter's Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters will meet on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 3:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM from St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Following the committal services, a reception will be held at the American Legion, Post #20, Quarry Road in Plattsburgh.
