Bernadette M. Mercer, 74, of Rugar Street, passed away with family by her side. She was born in Ellenburg on June 17, 1947, the daughter of the late William and Roxie (Sharrow) Malark.

Bernadette was employed for many years as a Registered Nurse at CVPH Medical Center and also in Puerto Rico and New Jersey. She was a member of St. John’s Church and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was the youngest of 13 siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Mark Mercer, her children and their spouses; Karen Mercer and her fiancé, Scott Mercer, and Acey Mercer, her brother and sister in law; Vernon and Beverly Malark; a sister Mary LaBarge, her grandchildren; Kaylin and Abigail Mercer, Hollis Mercer, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. John’s Church. Memorial donations may be made to The Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Fitzpatrick Caner Center or Holy Cross Parish.
