Betty J Rivers

Betty J. Rivers, 85 of LaPlante Road in West Chazy, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by her side. She was born in Champlain on April 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Garrow) Boulerice.

Betty worked at CVPH for over 30 years as a Nurses Aide and then moving to Physical Therapy and retiring in 1996. After retirement, she and her husband Howard enjoyed camping and spending time with their grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter ; Cheryl LaValley of Beekmantown, a daughter in law; Tammy Rivers of West Virginia, her sisters; Sandra Noonan of West Chazy, Barbara Rawson of Saratoga Springs, her grandchildren; Vickie Tabor, Carrie Girard, Crystal Smith , Brandy Rivers, her great grandchildren; Andrew LaBarge and Abigail Lindeman, Michael and Elizabeth Smith, a great great granddaughter Magnolia Rayne LaBarge, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Howard Rivers, a son Howard “Joe” Rivers, and her brothers; Bucky Garrow, Roland Boulerice and Larry Boulerice.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in the Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum.
