Beverly I. Ireland

Beverly Ireland, 80, of Plattsburgh NY, passed away on September 3, 2023. She was born in Huntington NY, to Marie (Pearson) Ireland and Lloyd Ireland. She is survived by her sister Hazel, daughters Marsha and Beverly Paige, son Mark, their spouses Ken, Jim, David and Gregory, grandchildren, Adrienne, Elliott and Rachel, and her first husband, Harvey Lawrence. She is predeceased by her husband Warren R.B. Dixon. Bev and Warren are survived by their loyal dog, Conrad. Beverly graduated from Plattsburgh State with her teaching degree, and made Plattsburgh her home for the past 62 years. She was a beloved teacher for over 30 years and taught generations of elementary students. Her knitting needles and sewing machine were always in action. She made and shared countless items for others. She had a knack for making everyone feel welcome, and was a very dear friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. There will be a celebration of life on September 30, 2023, from 2-5 PM in the Adirondack Room at Butcher Block (18 Booth Dr, Plattsburgh). In accordance with Bev’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations should be given to Shriner’s Hospital, Elmore SPCA, or the Salvation Army.
