Beverly A. Peets

Ms. Beverly A. Peets, 89, of Dover, Delaware and formerly of Ellenburg Center, passed away on July 30, 2024 at Breakwater Village Nursing Home in Lewes, Delaware. She was born in Ellenburg Center on November 16, 1934, the daughter of Eugene and Mildred (Yelle) Peets. She attended Ellenburg Central School and attended St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. She was a long-time resident of Luther Towers Senior Apartments in Dover, Delaware where she was involved in many weekly activities including bingo, bunco, outings and social events. Beverly moved from Plattsburgh to Dover, Delaware in 1993 after the passing of her father, Eugene Peets to be with her sister Joan Schmidt. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law - Joan A. and Roger A. Schmidt of Las Vegas, NV; her nephews Steve B. and Todd M. Schmidt; her cousins, Larry Peets, Phyllis Duval, Diane Peets and Shirley Kelly. She was predeceased by her parents Eugene and Mildred Peets, her maternal grandparents Alice and Peter Yelle, paternal grandparents Lena and William Peets, and her siblings Henry Peets, Floyd Peets, Mable Peets, Audrey Varno and Maye Bow; her aunt and uncle, Blanche Yelle and Donald Peets; and her cousins, Lester Peets and Gerald Peets. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 5 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 6 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be offered to charity.
