Blanche A Dupraw

Standish Mrs. Blanche A. Dupraw, 86, formerly of Standish, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Standish, New York on July 25, 1923, the daughter of George and Lucy (Coty) Charland. She loved the outdoors and cooking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Blanche is survived by her children and their spouses; Diane and Frederick Cayea Sr.of Lyon Mountain, Sandra and Edsel Roberts of Standish, Charlene and Bruce Dashnaw Sr. of Saranac, a sister and brother in law; Margaret and Joseph Plumadore of Troy, a brother and sister in law; Robert and Shirley Charland of Chazy Lake, her grandchildren; Frederick Cayea Jr and his fiancée Marjorie Kosinski, Mark and Pamela Cayea, Mona Lee and Robert "Mike" Siskavich, Jr., Tammy Cayea and companion Terry Guynup , Sherrie Lee Roberts and companion Rick Martindale, Carissa and Kevin Demers, Shane and Donna Roberts, Bruce and Melonie Dashnaw Jr., Michelle Lee Dashnaw, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her husband Francis Dupraw passed away in 1955. A daughter Mona Lee Dupraw, a son Douglas Dupraw, four brothers, Clifford, Richard, Harry and Euclid Charland , a sister Theresa Brooks, and a great grandson Stephen Whalen also passed away earlier. In accordance with Blanche's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 11:00 am from St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. Memorial donations may be offered to the Skilled Nursing Unit at CVPH to whom the family wishes to thank for the care and love given to Blanche.
