Bonnie Lee D'Aust

September 28, 1950 — November 19, 2022

Bonnie Lee D'Aust, 72, of Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on September 28, 1950, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Rougier) Ebersole. Bonnie was an amazing sister to Edward Ebersole, Roy Ebersole, Larry Ebersole, Juanita "Skeeter" Prinsen, Ricky Ebersole and Calvin Ebersole.

On September 2, 1967, Bonnie married the love of her life, Ralph D'Aust, Sr. They went on to spend 55 amazing years together creating a beautiful family. Bonnie was a loving mother of five children: Ralph D'Aust Jr. (Sonya), Tammy (David) LaPoint , Cheryl D'Aust, Brian (Amber) D'Aust and Amy (Nick) Dumas. Along with her children, Bonnie also had several nieces and nephews that held a very special place in her heart.

Bonnie spent 40 plus years working at St. John's Academy/Seton Catholic. She found great joy in her job, starting in the school cafeteria and retiring as a teacher's aide in elementary. If you were ever a part of the Seton family then you were likely to witness "Ms. Bonnie's" smiling face and welcoming heart. Along with working for the school, "Ms. Bonnie" was also an avid volunteer. You could always find her working bingo or harvest dinners. Bonnie was a true Seton legend even long after retirement.

Aside from Mom, Aunt and "Ms. Bonnie", she was best known as "Gram" to her SIXTEEN grandchildren: Jerimy D'Aust, Justin D'Aust, Josh (Shannon) D'Aust , Emilee (Ethan) Quantock, Kolbee Lapoint, Lacee Lapoint, Kyle Lapoint, TJ Lapoint, Ayden Dumas, Ayzek Dumas, Mason Dumas, Brianna Asselin, McKenna D'Aust, Isabella D'Aust, Maddison D'Aust, and baby Dumas on the way. Bonnie's grandchildren brought her so much happiness. She was a very active part of their lives, never missing Saturday morning bowling, sporting events, concerts or Grandparents Days at school.

Bonnie was an avid bowler and enjoyed her "bowling ladies" and all the trips they took together along with her daughters. She was an active member of the Keeseville and AuSable Forks Senior Citizen Club. She loved traveling with her Seniors and enjoying all the experiences the Club offered. Bonnie's favorite hobbies aside from being with her family included camping, going out to eat, the casino and socializing with her abundance of friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Sr., her children, her grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and 6 great grandchildren (with one of the way) that she adored. Bonnie also leaves behind two loyal canine companions, Chance and Cooper along with several cats that brought her great comfort.
