Bradley R. LaDuke, 55, of Redford, NY passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Sunday, December 29, 2024 after a long courageous battle with Vascular Dementia. Brad took pride in serving his country. He proudly joined the United States Marine Corps right out of high school. Brad served during the Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm. He would go on to do two more tours of duty during Operation Iraq Freedom. Brad always said “ Once a marine always a marine.” Brad also worked over 20 years as a corrections officer for NYSDOCC retiring from Clinton Correctional Facility. When he wasn’t serving his country or protecting our community, you could find him in the garage fixing small engines. Brad loved 4 wheeling, snowmobiling and riding motorcycles. There wasn’t a Yamaha he didn’t like. Brad is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Dawn LaDuke who was his pride and joy. He is also survived by his loving companion Michele Richardson, sister Mary Lloyd, sister Margaret “Peggy” Asi and brother Norman LaDuke along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Brad is predeceased by his parents Marshall “ Pat” LaDuke and Barbara (Wood) LaDuke. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the staff at Elderwood Nursing home for all the care and compassion they gave Brad the last few years. Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh on Thursday, January 2 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be announced in the near future.
