Brendan M Cook

Brendan M. Cook, 33, of Syracuse, NY, passed away from pancreatic cancer after a yearlong battle on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Upstate Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on May 23, 1986 the son of Randy and Patricia (Dwyer) Cook. Brendan was an environmental engineer who was employed by PALL Corporation and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering as well as a Master of Science in environmental engineering from Clarkson University.
Brendan had a love for animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed spending weekend mornings at a local Syracuse diner (New York Style Diner) with close friends as well as playing video games in his free time. He especially loved spending time with his beloved wife Nicole “Coley” and his dog Khaleesi. He was known to make others smile and will be remembered for leaving a mark with his one of a kind sense of humor.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Norman and Shirley Cook.
He is survived by his wife Nicole, his parents, Randy and Patricia Cook, his siblings; Aaron Cook of Plattsburgh, and Tyler Cook and his wife Alyssa of Vermont. Also survived by his grandparents Patrick and Andrea Dwyer, nephew Dacks, niece Cora, 14 aunts and uncles, and 16 cousins. Brendan also leaves behind his best friend Aaron Dodds.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home Plattsburgh. Funeral service will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel starting at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elmore SPCA.
