Calvin E. Weightman

Calvin E. Weightman of Plattsburgh, NY died peacefully with family by his side on his 98th birthday at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital on June 3, 2024. He was born in Altona, NY on June 3, 1926, the oldest son of Ernest B. Weightman and Antoinette Corrow Weightman. Calvin was an Army Veteran of WWII and worked a variety of jobs over the years including time at Pal Blade, Plattsburgh AFB and CVPH. He later retired from SUNY Plattsburgh. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wonderful wife Venita in October 2020 and his three sisters and their spouses; Constance & Victor Gero, Beverly & Burton Randall and Joyce & Donald Giles. Calvin is survived by his sister Pearl Spear (Bill) of Champlain and three brothers; Merton (Carol) of Cadyville, Thomas (Betty) of Champlain and John (Mary) of Altona, stepson Kevin Breyette plus numerous nieces and nephews. Per Calvin’s request there will be no formal funeral services.
