Carl R Leclair

Morrisonville Mr. Carl R. LeClair, 89, of LaPierre Lane in Morrisonville, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh surrounded by his family. He was born in Ellenburg Depot on June 29, 1921, the son of Edward and Marion (Pennell) LeClair. Carl was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 in the European Theater. After returning from the war, Carl married Dorothy Cayea on August 16, 1945 at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg, NY. He worked at Duquette Brothers Construction in Plattsburgh as a Mason. He was predeceased by two daughters; Mary Elizabeth LeClair and Shirley Ann LeClair, four brothers; Walter, Leon, Kenneth and Gerald LeClair. Carl is survived by his wife Dorothy of Morrisonville, three children; Ronald LeClair and his wife Linda of Ravena, N.Y., Barbara LeClair of Morrisonville, and Janice and Larry Evans, Jr. of Morrisonville., eight grandchildren; Sherri (Lloyd) Provost, Emily (Jared) Trombley, Stephanie Evans, Christina Evans, Robert Evans, Eric Rock, Cory Rock and Lauren LeClair, six great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. Memorial donations may be offered to the St. Alexander's Church or the American Lung Association, C/O Brown Funeral Home.
