Carlton D. St. Germain, 85, of Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Thursday October 7, 2021 at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing. He was born in Plattsburgh on August 29, 1936 the son of David and Albina (Archambault) St. Germain, Carlton graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in 1954 and soon after joined the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged in 1957 he returned to Plattsburgh. Carlton married Sharon Luck on April 18, 1960 at St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy. He worked at NYSEG for many years before becoming a Truck Driver for UPS. Carlton retired from UPS in 1990 after 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, making apple sauce and spending his summers cutting his lawn and others.
Carlton was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws; Virgil and Elizabeth Luck, his wife Sharon, a brother Ronald St. Germain, a brother-in-law Clayton Lombard and a sister-in-law Virginia Luck.
He is survived by his children; Kevin St. Germain and his wife Divya of Kansas and Kimberly St. Germain and her companion Greg Guerra of Colorado, his grandchildren; Cody, Caleb and Camden St. Germain, his sister Charlene Lombard, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Gerald Luck, Sherman and Jackie Luck and Candy Luck, several nieces and nephews also survive him.
At Carlton’s request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Chazy.
Masses in his memory may be offered.
