Carol P. Brown

Carol Patricia Brown, 85, of Plattsburgh, died Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility with family by her side. She was born Saturday, October 30th, 1937, to William and Monica (Brennan) Girard.

She married the love of her life, William S. Brown on May 28th, 1955, and they raised 7 loving children. She enjoyed bingo, the casino, crocheting (especially baby and doll clothes), chatting with her best friend for hours while playing cards and watching her soap operas, holding all her grandchildren, and spoiling them to no end. She was loving, sincere and kind enough to let you know if she thought you gained a pound or two.

She is survived by her sister, Lynda Kaner and husband John; twin brother, Carlton Girard and wife Dianne; her children, Bruce Brown and Pam (Washington), Cheryl Brown (Syracuse), Richard Brown and Annie (Plattsburgh), Marylou Burdo and Steve (Altona), Jeff Brown (Florida), Chris Brown and Tonya (Plattsburgh), Susan Bushey and Bernie (Plattsburgh), 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Brown; parents, William and Monica Brennan; brothers, Richard Girard and Gerald Girard; sister-in-law and best friend, Patricia Girard and grandson, Bradley Brown.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, from 11:00-1:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30pm at St. Peter’s Church. A burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
