Carol A Clauss

Beekmantown Carol A. Clauss, 79, of the General Leroy Manor Road, Beekmantown, died Friday, August 21, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newton, MA, on October 2, 1935, the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Ruane) Bailey. Carol grew up Quincy, MA where she met the love of her life, Joseph J. Clauss Sr., and was married on May 21, 1955 in the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hough's Neck-Quincy. She lived most of her life in Pembroke, MA until she moved to the North Country to be closer to family. Her greatest love was for her family and was always known for being a caring mother and great homemaker. Carol is predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Clauss Sr., her sister Marylou Wolfe. Carol is survived by her three children, Dr. Joseph J. Clauss and his wife Dr. Carolyn of Beekmantown, David Clauss and his wife Patricia Clauss of Pembroke, MA, and Cheryl Zedick and her husband Michael of Dannemora; one brother, Fred Bailey; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Rocco, and Patrick Clauss, David Jr. and Danielle Clauss, and Christine Burns and her husband Jeff, and Travis Zedick and his wife Meghan; four great-grandchildren, Conner and Madison Burns, and Shaela and Sloane Zedick and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. James Church in Cadyville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
