Carol A. Cushman, 61, of Station Street in Altona, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at Fletcher-Allen Health care in Burlington, Vermont. She was born in Bangor, Maine on June 26, 1948, the daughter of the late Alfred and Erma (Bates) Chabot, Sr. Carol loved playing bingo, doing her puzzle books, watching game shows and old movies. Bingo buddy Pauline Provost was always there for her to make sure she could go and play bingo. Carol also enjoyed playing bingo with her friends in the Community Room where she lived at Twin Oaks in Altona. Carol had many friends that were there for her, too many to name, but they know who they are. Thank you all.. She is survived by two sons and daughter in law, Donald " Bull Cushman and wife Cindy Armstrong Cushman of West Chazy, Richard Paro and his companion Marcia Englehardt of Sciota, real good friends Celester and Tina Collins of Burlington, Vt., two grandchildren Joseph Armstrong and Melinda Hilliker and her husband Jason of West Chazy, two great grandchildren, Coty and Keegan Hilliker of West Chazy, two sisters and a brother, Jean Arnini, Muriel Raposo and William Chabot, all of Connecticut, and several nieces and nephews . Her parents , a brother Alfred Chabot, Jr., and her life long companion, Tuffield Paro, Jr. of Sciota passed away earlier. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be offered to the Altona Fire Department.
