Carol T Lewis

Plattsburgh Carol T. Lewis, 75, of Independence Drive, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Sunday March 29, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Rouses Point, NY on January 10, 1934 the daughter of Joseph and Henrietta (Gilbert) Favro. Carol worked for many years for the Champlain Telephone in Champlain, NY until her retirement in 1994. Carol enjoyed traveling with companion Bruce Patnode and gardening. She volunteered at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh and the Interfaith Hospitality Food Network. Carol was an avid walker, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Carol was predeceased by her husband Alfred Lewis, who passed away in September of 1979, a brother; Noel Favro and a sister Patricia Stone. She is survived by four children; Charles Lewis and his wife Cathy of Phoenix, AZ, Pamela Ham and her husband Nick of Denver, CO, Jody Branch of Plattsburgh, NY and Shawn Halperin and her husband Barry of Lake Clear, NY. Seven grandchildren; Jack Ham, Jennifer and Michael Lewis, Nathan and Stephanie Branch, Dylan and Sydney Halperin, six brothers and sisters; Joseph Favro, Jean Walk, David Favro, Sue LaDuke, Barbara Filion and Gary Favro. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, a sister-in-law Sally Colgan and Michael Branch also survive her. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point, NY.
