Carol Ann Tourville (Anderson), 72, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 23, 2010 at CVPH Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born December 26, 1937 in Plattsburgh at the Old Base Hospital, the daughter of Captain Richard Earnest and Anna (LaPine) Anderson. During her younger years at Plattsburgh High School, she was a beautiful, popular young woman who was the Class of 1956's Junior Prom Queen and senior year class president. She was a 1958 graduate of Becker Junior College in Worcester, Mass. and worked for Dr. Smith-Peterson in Boston, Mass. before going on to work for Plattsburgh pediatrician, Dr. Singer. She and Larry were married August 11, 1962. Carol was a lifelong member of Our Lady Victory parish and a member of the Rosary Society. She loved gardening and garden design, and drawing and sketching. She is a past blue ribbon winner for flower arrangement at the Clinton Country Fair; past president of the Plattsburgh Mothers' Club; and founding organizer of the Country Store at OLVA's annual Harvest Dinner. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife and caregiver to her husband, Larry, a patient and caring mother, and doting grandmother to Andrew, Claire and Chloe. She was predeceased by her parents, Captain Richard Earnest and Anna (LaPine) Anderson and a brother Richard Earnest, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Lawrence (Larry) E. Tourville; and her three devoted daughters: Suzanne Cooper of Colts Neck, NJ; Beth White and her husband Brian, of Plattsburgh; and Jacqueline Brown and her husband Jason, of Nashua, NH; three grand-children, Andrew Cooper, Claire Brown and Chloe Brown; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Donald Argus, of Liverpool, NY; and several sisters- and brothers-in-law, Sylvia Stack, of Plattsburgh; Gloria Manny, of Plattsburgh; Wilma Farley, of Morrisonville; Caroline Tarricone and her husband Tony, of Plattsburgh; William and Deanie Tourville, of Columbia, SC; Arthur and Lettie Tourville, of Clinton; Diane Sitte and her husband Ziegfried, of Toronto, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday September 27, 2010 from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Tourville home at 32 Fort Brown Drive in Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Tourville home, burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
