Charles Ross Johnson

Charles Ross Johnson, 68, of Cadyville, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at the UVM CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Malone, NY on July 27, 1948 the son of Joseph and Ethyle (Dumont) Johnson. Ross retired as a Lieutenant from the New York State Department of Corrections with 32 years of service. Ross enjoyed cars, motorcycles, woodworking, traveling, and coaching bowling for Saranac Central. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandson William and his Boxer grand puppies Georgia and Hunter. He was predeceased by his parents as well as his siblings; Joseph Johnson, Phyllis Crump, Kenneth Johnson, Donald Johnson, and Richard Johnson. On August 21, 1976 he married the love of his life, Joanne. He is survived by Joanne, their children; Sarah Leisan and her husband Athui, Shawn Johnson and his fiancé Margaret, his grandson, William Charles Leisan, his siblings; Charlotte Johnson, Janice Johnson, Norman Johnson and his wife Yvonne, Patrick Johnson and his wife Vickie, Keith Johnson and his wife Carolyn, Brenda Fleury and her husband Mark, Arthur Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. James Church in Cadyville, NY.
