West Chazy Mr. Charles E. "Big Mike" LaDuke, 72, of the Military Turnpike passed away, Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Beekmantown, New York on May 19, 1937 the son of Francis and Ethel (Johnson) LaDuke. Big Mike was a self employed Logger owning Charles LaDuke Logging. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler, taking Sunday drives and Sunday morning breakfast at McDonald's, XM Country Music and watching wrestling. Big Mike was happiest being in the woods and he was known for never being wrong. He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Ethel LaDuke, a son Michael Crossley, two brothers Gordon LaDuke, Gilbert LaDuke, a sister Betty Garrison and a son-in-law Ricky Ebersole. Big Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years Theresa Crossley-LaDuke, a son Charles Crossley and his fiancé Donna LaValley of West Chazy, two daughters Linda Ebersole of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Melissa Guerin and her husband Rufus of West Chazy, four sisters and two brothers-in-law Ruth and Frank Cody of West Chazy, Capian Kelley and Roy "Nippy" Provost of Plattsburgh, Fannie and Darrel Spoor of West Chazy, Barbara Sanchez and Steve Mahar of Clifton Park, two brothers and two sisters-in-law Kenneth and Jean LaDuke of West Chazy, Joseph and Mary LaDuke of West Chazy, ten grandchildren Amanda, Tonia, John, Jenniffer, Jason, Dawn, Michael, Jr., Michael, Rufus Jr., Damian five great grandchildren Lauren, Emily, Paul, Wyatt and McKenzie and three due in April, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m. with the Rev. William Reamer, Chaplain at CVPH Medical Center officiating. Interment will be at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Chazy.
