Charles F. Neiman, Jr., 85, of Wall Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his home with family by his side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in York, Pennsylvania on May 16, 1938, the son of the late Charles and Ardella Neiman. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force for over 11 years and later was employed as a machinist Harris Bindery in Champlain and later for Velan Valve in Winooski, Vermont until his retirement. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Church, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 13127, American Legion Post 20, V.F.W. Post 125, The Keeseville Eagles Club, and the Peru Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid Baltimore orioles fan and enjoyed BINGO and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by four sons and a daughter in law; Charles Neiman III , John Neiman, Loren Neiman and companion Laurie Baker, David and Judy Neiman, all of Plattsburgh, two daughters and sons in law; Susan and John Devins of Beekmantown, Kari and Todd Prinsen of Mooers, his siblings; Dot , Sis and Ed, all of Pennsylvania, 6 grandchildren; David James of Chesapeake, Va., Matthew Hammond and companion Angel Palmer, and Jessica (Matthew)Clark of Plattsburgh, Chad ( Kayla) Neiman and Jamie Neiman of Plattsburgh, Michelle Relation of Mooers ;ten great grandchildren; Logan Webber, Kalob Webber , Caden and Cyler Clark, Brookklyn Vanvalkenburg, Onna and Chad Neiman Jr. , James and Isabelle Neiman, Clara and Hazel Hammond, and several nieces and nephews . He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Clara "Pee Wee" (Lareau) Neiman on February 24, 2011. His brothers Gary and Bill also passed away earlier. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment with military honors will be in St. Peter’s cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church.
