Chester Claude Bouyea

Plattsburgh Chester Claude Bouyea, 84, of Flat Rock Road, Morrisonville, NY, passed away on Thursday August 14, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Morrisonville, NY on May 29, 1930 the son of George and Jennie (Rock) Bouyea. Chester graduated from Morrisonville High School in 1948, soon after he began working at Dannemora Prison. He married Audrey LaPier on June 3, 1949 at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Chester served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954. After returning to Morrisonville in 1954, Chester began working at Plattsburgh Air Force Base as a Fund Manager, retiring after over 30 years of service. He then went on to manage the Sunoco Service Station on Route 3 in Plattsburgh for ten years. Chester enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the casino. He was a member of the Plattsburgh Elks Lodge 621 and Knight of Columbus Council 255. Chester was predeceased by his parents, his wife Audrey in 2011, his brothers; Arthur, Malcolm, Tyler, Robert, Lester, Emerson. Chester is survived his two children; Debbie Cartier and her husband Rodney of Morrisonville and David Bouyea and his fiance Francine Goodman of De Kalb Junction, NY, four grandchildren; Heidi Schwartz, Tara Rock and her companion Andrew Runyan, Matthew Cartier and his wife Peggy and Jenny Gladwin, seven great grandchildren; Jordan, Kaylee, Parker, Austin, Feliciti, Addison and Gunner and a brother Ross Bouyea of Plattsburgh, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Monday August 18, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel, burial will be in St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville, NY.
