Christina M Garrow

Christina M. Garrow, 89, of Brand Hollow Road, Peru, NY, passed away on Friday June 16, 2017 at her home with her family by her side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on September 2, 1927. Christina worked as a Nurses Aide at Sacred Heart Nursing Home for over 25 years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, mowing the lawn and caring for animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Christina was predeceased by her husband Howard Garrow, a sister Jane Riley and a brother Roland Trombley. She is survived by her son Donald LaMere, Jr. and his companion Tina of Peru, two grandchildren; Donald "Butch" LaMere, III and his companion Brittney Woodside of Morrisonville and Brandon LaMere and his companion Shaelyn Fountain of Plattsburgh, a brother Herbert Trombley and his wife Carol of Essex Junction, VT, two close friends; Betty Fountain of Saranac and Darlene Senecal of Plattsburgh, several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 20, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
