Christopher B. Columbe, a lifelong resident of Plattsburgh, NY, transitioned into heaven's embrace with his family by his side at CVPH Medical Center on April 8, 2024, at the age of 58. We find comfort in the thought that he has been freed from his chronic pain and has found tranquility. Chris is survived by his wife, Michele (Corron); his daughters and sons-in-law, Roxanne & Shawn LaClair, Becky & Zac Eppler; his grandchildren, Madelyn & Alec LaClair, Ezra & Elliana Eppler; his father and mother-in-law, James & Genny (Carter) Corron; his sister, Lisa & Daryl Pierce of Washington; his sisters-in-law, Donna & Paul Souliere, Julie & James Mussaw, Brenda & Greg Yelle. He is predeceased by his parents, Jay & Joyce (St. Denis), and his brother, Kirk. Chris was born on December 24, 1965. He graduated from CVES as a residential electrician. On May 18, 1985, he married his elementary school sweetheart. On September 13, 1988, and November 28, 1990, he welcomed his two beautiful daughters, who were the most essential part of his life, into the world. Chris embodied devotion as a husband, father, and papa. His love knew no bounds, and he cherished moments spent with his loved ones most. He loved fiercely; enjoyed helping others, motorcycles, ATVs, camping, being by the water, shining up his vehicles, watching sci-fi or Star Wars surrounded by the biggest and best surround sound system, playing with the latest and greatest gaming technology, and racing RCs with his grandchildren. He was one of a kind with the most genuine soul who was always looking out for everyone else he loved. If you had the pleasure of knowing Chris, you'd recognize his rough exterior as a shield for his tender emotions. Beneath that protective layer lay a depth of caring beyond what words can express. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none, but often, it is said to be better than a master of one. Along with odd-end electrical jobs, Chris worked at the Elks Lodge, house of Sewing, PCA, Plattsburgh Quarry, and finally retired from NYS DOCCS. Calling hours will be Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to support our great-nephew in his battle against leukemia. Join #AbramsArmy in standing strong by his side as he fights this courageous battle.
