Claude A Bouchard

Claude A. Bouchard, 65, of Rugar St. passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada on July 17, 1954, the son of Andre and Jacqueline (Berthiaume) Bouchard. Claude was a gifted craftsman, skilled in all areas of construction. He was known for his masonry, plastering, dry wall and taping. Claude was also an adept electrician, tiler, and plumber. His masonry skills can be seen at many local structures in the North Country. He had a generous spirit, giving of his time and knowledge to anyone in need of help with any project. Claude retired as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Plattsburgh. He loved fishing with his sons and grandsons around the Lake Champlain Islands. Claude was a lifelong learner who enjoyed the trades, mechanics, technology and culinary arts.
He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Claudine Bouchard Indelicato, and a niece Kathleen O’Shaughnessy.
Claude is survived by his wife of sixteen years Ellen (Trombley) Bouchard, his children; Adam (Melanie) Bouchard, Denielle Medina, Michelle Medina and her partner Patrick Bennett, Rei Medina, his siblings; Peter Bouchard and his companion Arlene, Serge (Pat) Bouchard, Chantal (Steven) O’Shaughnessy, Bryant (Susan) Bouchard, a brother-in-law Rich Indelicato, two grandchildren, Oliver and Charlie Bouchard, many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church.
