Claudette Claire Palmer

Claudette Claire Palmer, 82, peacefully departed this life surrounded by family at UVM Health Network CVPH on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in Plattsburgh, New York. She was born in Hemmingford, Quebec, April 13, 1936 to Henry and Lottie (Hough) Hebert. On October 12, 1971, she married the love of her life, William S. Palmer in Sheffield, MA.
She enjoyed spending time with her very large family, painting, and crafts. Her dedication to her family and friends was unequaled, she was our teacher, our matriarch, but above all she was a remarkable mother/grandmother. Her strength, tenacity and elegance were an inspiration to anyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Claudette is survived by son Paul Ashline of Florida, daughter Patricia Hebert of Havelock, Que., daughter Darlene Jubert of Glens Falls, NY, son David Ashline of Dannemora, NY, daughter Tina Thayer of Mooers, NY, son Shawn Palmer of Peru, NY, daughter April Miller of Plattsburgh, NY, 29 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her mother and father in-law; husband William S. Palmer and daughter Kathleen Ashline.
A private family gathering is being planned for June 2019.
