Clifford A. Duprey, 75, of Jersey Swamp Road, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his home. He was born in Beekmantown on September 15, 1943, the son of the late Herbert and Dorothy (Maryea) Duprey.
Clifford worked on the family farm and later was employed by Imperial Wallcoverings for over 29 years. He enjoyed working in his shed, woodcarving, camping, long rides to see the deer, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Myra (Malbon) Duprey, his children and their spouses; Angela and Patrick Fountain, Lillie and Michael Coon, Elisa Duprey-McKeen and Dale McKeen, his siblings and their spouses; Patricia and her husband Dennis Bruce, Donald and his wife Lorraine Duprey, Shirley and her husband Kurt Phaneuf, Kenneth and his wife Margie Duprey, and Beverly and her husband Barry Wood; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Richard Duprey; his sisters, Theresa Duprey and Bonita “Bonnie” Davis, grandsons Brandon Fountain and Andrew Duprey-McKeen, and granddaughters Staci Hogan and Amanda Duprey-McKeen.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Mausoleum at a later date. Memorial donations may be offered to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
