Clifton J Torrance Sr

Plattsburgh Mr. Clifton J. Torrance, Sr., 88, of Irish Settlement Road in Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center family by his side. He was born in Peru on September 9, 1925, the son of Roy and Nellie (Lincoln) Torrance. Clifton graduated from Peru Central School and was a dairy farmer all of his life. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Addie (Desautels) Torrance, his daughters; Linda, Stella (Jeff), Teresa "Terry" (Kevin), a daughter in law: Joan, a brother and sister in law; Norman and Ann Torrance, a sister; Doris Blaise, a sister in law, Emma Torrance, his grandchildren ; Dawn (Andy), Laurie (Brian), Kimberly (Frank), Nicole, Jason , Eric and Jennifer (Casey), Joseph "JoJo" (Alicia) ,his great grandchildren; Andrew, Josh , Adam, Sky, Alisha, Kinson, Ariana, Aiden, Kasey Lynn and Connor, Hailey, and several nieces and nephews. A son Clifton Torrance Jr., a grandson Shawn, a son in law: Gilles Maille, his brothers; Lincoln and Avery, and two sisters, Margaret and Gladys all passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the family or for Masses.
