Clive R "Rodney" Collins

Clive Rodney Collins, 84, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on November 5, 1933, the son of Howard and Gertrude (Soucis) Collins. He was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Rodney enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He retired after 34 years of dedicated work from the United States Postal Service. Following retirement, he often volunteered at Meadowbrook Healthcare. Rodney was an avid sports fan, rooting for his Boston Red Sox, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He is predeceased by his siblings; Gloria Pinko, Winona Collins, Lola Cool, Carmen Preavy, Owen Collins, and Calvin Collins. He is survived by his wife Marguerite "Mag" (Giroux) Collins, his long-time friend, David Scales, many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, Chazy NY. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
